Host Latency

Most “best web hosting in India” lists are ranked by commission, not performance. HostLatency is different: we buy each hosting plan with our own money and monitor it every 60 seconds from a Mumbai probe. The table below ranks hosts purely on real uptime and speed - so you can compare web hosting in India on evidence, not marketing.

Plan links are affiliate links - commissions never influence rankings, which come from monitored data only. The speed bar shows relative response time (longer is faster). How we label hosts

Every tag is computed from real data over the rolling last 90 days - never assigned by hand, never influenced by commissions.

Fastest overall

Goes to the host with the lowest average response time (TTFB) measured from Mumbai. It only changes when a host is genuinely, consistently faster over the window.

Best value

Among the top three performers, the one offering the best long-term (3-year+) monthly price. Performance comes first - a cheap but slow host can't earn this.

Cheapest

The host that is lowest on both the first-year price and the renewal price - genuinely cheap to start and to keep, not just a low first-year teaser.

How to read this comparison

Two numbers decide most hosting decisions. Here's what they mean, in plain terms.

Uptime - is the site reachable?

99.9% is about 43 minutes of downtime a month; 99.99% is about 4 minutes. We also show how many separate outages happened - one brief blip is very different from dozens of them.

TTFB - how fast does it respond?

TTFB (time to first byte) is how long the server takes to start replying, measured from Mumbai. Lower is faster - it's the truest measure of server speed for Indian visitors, and why hosts with Indian data centres beat those routed through Singapore.

Is cheap hosting really cheap?

Most hosts show their lowest price - the one that needs a 3 or 4-year commitment paid upfront - as if it were the monthly rate. The renewal, which is what you actually pay later, is often two to four times higher. A plan at ₹199/mo that renews at ₹799/mo isn't cheap; it just looks cheap on day one.

That's why our table shows the initial price, the longer-term price, and the renewal side by side. The genuinely cheap web hosting in India is the one that stays affordable after the first term. See the full cheap hosting breakdown →

Questions, answered

Which is the best web hosting in India?
Based on 24/7 monitoring from Mumbai, the current leader is the host with the best mix of uptime and server response time. The leaderboard updates daily, so it always reflects the best web hosting in India by measured performance.
What is the cheapest web hosting in India?
Entry prices start around ₹79–99/mo, but the cheapest sticker price isn't always cheapest over time - renewals often jump two to four times. We show both so you find cheap web hosting in India that stays cheap.
How do you compare web hosting providers?
We buy each plan ourselves, put an identical test page on every account with no caching, and monitor it every 60 seconds from Mumbai. Hosts are ranked by a weighted score of uptime, speed, and consistency. No host can pay to rank higher.
Which is the fastest web hosting in India?
Speed is measured by TTFB from Mumbai. Hosts with Indian data centres consistently respond faster than those routed through Singapore. The current fastest host is shown at the top of the leaderboard by response time.
Why are some hosts measured from Singapore?
GoDaddy and Namecheap don't run Indian data centres, so their nearest servers are in Singapore. The higher response time is real and relevant - it's what your Indian visitors would actually experience.
